FANTASY FRIDAY 4.8.2016

fantasy friday cakeIf I had more money, time, and all the butter in the land – here are the things I would be baking this week.  I’ve also thrown in a cocktail of the weekend because fancy drinks make me feel fancy.

  • Cookies inside of cookies is a concept I can get on board with and these cake batter cookies with rainbow sprinkles definitely have my attention.
  • How stunning are these floral donuts with blood orange and lemon ginger glaze?  I want to decorate my apartment with these donuts.
  • More realistically, I’ll be making these glazed chocolate cake donuts. I’m not too mad about it.
  • This breakfast board has my name written all over it.  It’s like your own mini breakfast buffet where it’s ok to eat with your hands and spread anything and everything on warm, crusty bread.
  • I’m late to the game but browned butter is everything to me right now and I’d like to continue this obsession with browned butter peach cupcakes.
  • Whenever I bake muffins they are delicious (pats self on the back) but they are mostly flat topped (unpats self on back).  Could jumbo bakery style banana muffins be the end of the vertically challenged muffin streak?

Cocktail of the weekend

  • Someone told it was almost rosé season and I’m basic enough to admit that really excites me.  Plums excite me even more and the two get married in this berry, plum, and rosé sangria.  I’m not sure if that makes berries the third wheel.
