If I had more money, time, and all the butter – here are the things I would be baking this week. I’ve also thrown in a cocktail of the weekend because why not.
- As a starter, please pick your favorite bakery and buy a gift certificate, order a dozen doughnuts, pre-order your half birthday cake. Whatever it takes to keep small businesses in business right now.
- In reality, now is not really the time for decadence, but it is the time for slow living and appreciating and projects and gratitude and distancing and donating. When things get back to normal, I’d love to give these homemade cronuts a try and socialize with a plethora of people to share them with.
- Relaxation and self-care are the name of the game right now and I find the swirled frosting on this simple chocolate cake to be more soothing than the calm app.
- I’m having a marble cake MOMENT right now. It’s all I want and it will absolutely be my next layer cake project.
- I would never have thought to put chocolate chunks in a loaf of artisan bread but the combination is genius and reminds me of the entirety of my study abroad experience when I spread nutella over torn off slices of chewy, salty, flour-y baguette.
