collections 4.26.2020

a new series of things i’m collecting in my brain this week, things that are funny, things that are beautiful, things that are smart, things i want to eat. you get it.

1. Homemade montreal style bagels. My uncle texted me “I know a guy if you want 5lbs of bread flour” and the rest was history. They are a little smaller, sweeter, eggier and cute cute cute.
2. I spent the better part of an hour during quarantine in april watching the bon appetit test kitchen staff make thanksgiving dinner in august. It was all so wrong it felt right.
3. On a scale of 1 to ordering a surf balance board, where else is everyone at with weird purchases these days?
4. I also go in-between thinking a perfectly curated glassware collection will make my apartment feel complete, but really it’s probably just cleaning my mail off my kitchen counter. Also I can’t and won’t process the price of those wine glasses.
5. It’s a constant battle between instagram and good old fashioned reading but I’m giving it the old college try with recursion and the french version of harry potter.
