fantasy friday, holiday bakes – 12.20.2019

If I had more money, time, and all the butter – here are the things I would be baking this week.  I’ve also thrown in a cocktail of the weekend because it’s cold and dark out here in December.

• I saw these stamped brownie cookies with peppermint glaze on instagram and two minutes later $15 worth of cookie stamps were in my amazon cart.
• It’s not Christmas if I don’t tackle an extremely labor intensive new bake. This year in a moment of weakness my mom agreed to let me ruin her kitchen with kouign amann.
• The minimalist decorations on this winter chocolate cake are calling my name.
• I am thrilled to be making my cousin’s wedding cake in August so the next 8 months are devoted to cake testing and layer cake assembling, exciting and terrifying to everyone including myself. I think I will start with this vanilla butter cake and see where it takes me.
• Sign me up for any one of these soft chewy ginger cookies. Tis the season.
